Why do you need Water Efficiency Calculations?

Water efficiency is the act of reducing water waste by measuring the amount of water required for a particular purpose and the amount of water actually used or delivered.

Water Efficiency Calculations provide results based on occupancy, fittings and flow rates within the water efficiency calculator and assess compliance against the water performance targets in Building Regulations Part G.

Part G of the Building Regulations insists that if you are building a new home, you must ensure that it has a predicted water consumption of 125 litres /person/day. However, some buildings and developments may need to meet a different target depending upon planning conditions.

Non-compliance can also affect a property’s Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) calculation, as well as it’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating.
